The Amp-L-Start will continually charge the chassis AGM at .3 amps until the coach lithium batteries are down to about 30% SOC. This amounts to about 7-8 ah per day that I’m losing while off-grid. Not big, but I’d rather not lose this power.

If you look at the web page, it states, "Connected between your house and engine starting batteries, AMP-L-START™ "steals" some of the charging current from your house battery charger (or solar panels) to also keep your engine starting batteries charged. So after reading everyone’s advice on the best price for the 15 Amp Amp-L-Start, I ordered a unit from RVupgrades.com.

While most would advise you to install the Amp-L-Start, and, it's not a bad choice, I would prefer and did, install a stand-alone, three stage NAPA charger, specifically for the chassis batteries. I can never remember what the model number was/is but, it does all three stages, if and when needed but, mostly it stays on the trickle stage.
